Hainanese Chicken Rice

I’m just about to head out to the airport to fly out to Singapore for a week long food tour. The Singapore Tourism Board was gracious enough to invite me out to check out their booming food scene and I can honestly say I haven’t been this excited about a trip in months!

Google hooked me up with a local cell phone so I’ll be posting all my updates on Google+, as it happens. Add No Recipes to your circle to get the play-by-play of my trip along with all the juicy photos of Bak Kut Teh, Chicken Rice, Laksa, Chili Crab, and so much more. In the mean time, here are a few pics from my trip last year to tide you over until I land:-)

Chili crab is the BEST in Singapore at Newton Circus. The first time I was there was in 1980 and my mouth stills waters for it. Newton Circus used to be a car park during the day and food stalls at night. Now, it is permanate food stalls. The seafood there is unreal. HUGH lobsters and crabs!, Oh, my the memories.

    Dear Marc

The photo of the roast pork is pretty amazing! I can taste the beautiful crispy skin through your photography.

My cousin just recently moved to Singapore and she loves it there! I’m so jealous of her, as she always sends me BBM photos of foods she and her fiancee eat!
